Create in-depth Rrequirements
With aqua, requirements can be comfortably edited in rich text format. Consciously borrowing from the well known look & feel of MS Office, the user has many well known options, such as structuring chapters, adding and editing tables, or pictures. Attach files just as you are used to from your email client – and make all information immediately available to all parties.
Gain Structure using Hierarchical Requirements
Requirements can be structured hierarchically. At each level sub-requirements can be added into the structure. Furthermore, existing requirements can be easily grouped into a new hierarchy.
Exchange with MS-Office Tools
An easy exchange with common Office formats is an integral part of the aqua suite. It’s possible to import Word or Excel files and keep editing inside of aqua. Furthermore the Export functionality supports popular formats like MS-Word, MS-Excel, PDF and HTML without losing aqua specific data such as requirements hierarchies and traceability information.
Organise your ideas with Mind Maps
Aqua supports mind maps and offers additional advantages. Mind maps can help you organize and visualize ideas in a structured way, especially in early project stages. Of course, any aqua item can be added to a mind map.
Generate Testcases from Requirements
The integrated UML-Designer allows you to model Business Workflows. Furthermore, aqua supports the automated generation of Test Cases from Requirements. This connection is then shown in the dependency view.
Visual Ttraceability of Dependencies
The visual representation of dependencies in aqua, allows you to quickly grasp complex relationships. Dependencies between items are created out of the box where applicable but can also be added manually. Tooltips offer a quick overview regarding any element - one click navigates you straight to it. This eliminates searching through layers of folders and enables anybody to quickly find relevant information.

This module supports the creation, management and execution of Test Cases, -Runs and –Scenarios for manual und automated Tests, including. Performance Tests. The possibility to attach a wide range of Testing Tools gives you the flexibility to select the optimal Tool based on your automation needs. Results are played back to aqua and represented in clear Reports automatically.

Defect Management
Put bugs in context
With just a few mouse clicks, you can generate bugs from executed test cases. These are automatically linked to the test case and its respective requirement - offering full traceability. Additionally aqua adds relevant information to the bug automatically, reducing manual overhead and saving time.
Defect Tracking
The integrated Defect Management is your interface to the development team. Of course, there is enough room for detailed descriptions including screenshots and rich text as well as the possibility to add valuable information in form of attachments.

Project Management
Create, Configure, Customize
Customizing aqua to your needs is as easy as it gets. Need to change the workflow of your project, add a field or change the layout? With aqua these changes are completed in a matter of minutes and can be easily shared with other teams. Additionally aqua provides you with project templates for different software development methodologies, making project adaptations easier and faster.
Real Time Project Planning
The tedious process of keeping a project plan up to date is a thing of the past. The project planner helps manage, monitor and assign tasks to your team members. While processing project plans you can use the clear representation of Gantt diagrams. As the entire process is in aqua, project plans are additionally able to display the actual status of requirements, defects and other aqua items. Changes to planned items are automatically updated – in real time.
Task Management
Assigned activities show up automatically as tasks in the calendar of the respective team member.
